Antique pewter syrup, creamer or covered flagon with several touchmarks including the Wallas shield with 3 columns of stars (one column of 5 stars with a column of 4 stars on either side of that one), a letter "F" with a crown atop, and a circular mark bearing the hallmark of Lorenzo Della Bianca - also inside on the bottom, a fleur de lis
Della Bianca was the name of a renowned dynasty of pewterers based in Valais, Switzerland, with a workshop established there approximately 1863
Such an unusual and eye-catching piece with a heavy linked-chain handle and double acorns for the thumb grip atop the hinge as well as a beautifully heart-shaped lid
