Unusual Primitive Lard Whale Oil Hand Lamp w/ Large Drip Catcher Tray Base 1700s

Unusual antique / primitive tin or sheet iron lard or whale oil hand lamp

Large tray drip catcher with a nicely curved finger loop

There is a fairly wide wick opening and then two round holes at the other end of the font, one with a wire installed - not sure what its use was

Very nice antique condition consistent with age - working condition is unknown (there is a wick fixed in the font that I did not try to remove

Approximate measurements (may vary slightly): 7 1/2" high overall, 9 1/2"  x  6 1/2"  tray section, wick opening is 1 7/8" long, font section 4 5/8" end to end, finger loop 2 1/4" diameter
