Beautiful whale oil or fluid pedestal stand lamp in the "Ring and Oval" pattern made by Boston and Sandwich Glass between 1845 and 1860
This lamp has a pretty hexagonal flared foot, wide enough to create a sturdy mount for this old flint glass lamp. The shoulder of the lamp is domed and also has a smooth hexagonal border just beneath the dome and above the ring and oval pattern. It's quite heavy - won't be easily toppled.

10" to top of brass collar
5 3/8" diameter foot (point to point)
7/8" collar threading to accept a no. 1 size burner
