3 Antique Pewter Tumblers / Mugs - 1 w/ Touchmark Very Heavy 1 w/ Applied Handle
Antique set of three pewter mugs, tumblers, and tankards in nice condition with authentic patina and minor scattered wear. Each piece features the character of genuine antique pewter.
One mug displays an applied Queen Anne style handle, while the tallest tumbler is exceptionally heavy and high quality, bearing a touchmark attributed to William Watson, a London-based pewterer active from 1770 onward, known for producing superior Brittania metal wares.
This collection was purchased at auction from the estate of Charles W. Danforth of Baltimore, a dedicated member of the Pewter Collectors' Club with over 15 years of passionate collecting focused on early American pieces throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic region.
