Antique Ireland Cosmetic Box with Breath Perfume Envelope EJ Hoadley Hartford Ct

This is a delicate antique cosmetic box in vibrant multicolor with gold tin lace border, paired with an original breath perfume envelope from E. J. Hoadley of Hartford, Connecticut. The box end tab reads "All Linen Made in Ireland 1/4 Doz F."

The envelope, marked "Sweet Scent" and "One Cent," features period advertising text: "Perfumes the Breath" with additional markings on the reverse: "Aromatic Fragrant."

These items were purchased together as you see them; original pairing unknown.

They are in very nice condition for age and use—the envelope is empty but the nostalgic presentation is exceptional.
