Antique cosmetic box in vibrant multi color with gold tin lace around the border

End tab of the box notes "All Linen   Made in Ireland   1/4 Doz F" (not sure what that all means)

Inside the box was the breath perfume envelope, marked: 

     BREATH PERFUME

     Sweet Scent  

     ONE CENT

     PERFUMES THE BREATH

     E. J. HOADLEY

     HARTFORD, CONN.  U.S.A.

The underside of the envelope is marked: "SWEET SCENT   AROMATIC   ONE CENT   FRAGRANT"

These two items were purchased together as you see them; I cannot say if the envelope was originally inside the box or placed there at a later date

Very nice condition considering age and use (envelope is empty) - but presentation is amazingly nostalgic

Approximate measurements (may vary slightly):

     Box is 5 3/4"  x  2 7/8"  x 1/2" (closed)

     Breath perfume envelope is 2 7/8"  x  1 3/4"
