Antique Pewter Syrup Pitcher w/ Hinged Lid, Queen Anne Handle, Thumb Knob Lift

This is an outstanding pewter syrup pitcher with a beautiful Queen Anne style handle and a hinged lid with a working hinge. It has a sturdy and stylish thumb knob lift and a finial that looks like a sombrero.

It is quite interesting inside with multiple pouring holes—highly unusual for a piece of this type.

Purchased at auction from among a beautiful group of pewter collected by Charles W. Danforth of Baltimore, a proud member of the Pewter Collectors' Club and enthusiastic collector for over 15 years. Drawn to early American collections throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic, this piece reflects the refined taste of a dedicated collector. This is a lovely piece that has stood the test of time; exactly as shown.
