Petite Whale Oil Lamp Boston and Sandwich Glass Octagonal Thumbprint Panels

A charming petite whale oil lamp from the celebrated Boston and Sandwich Glass works, circa 1840–1860.

The colorless blown-molded font features a distinctive octagonal form with delicate thumbprint panels—hallmarks of this prolific American glasshouse.

Fitted with an original pewter No. 1 collar (7/8" threading) ready for a period-appropriate burner. It stand 6 1/8" high and has a 3 1/2" diameter base.

No damage; excellent used condition with authentic patina befitting its age.

A refined accent for a vintage lighting collection or period room.
